Refund Policy

📋 Overview

At TinkerTrail STEM Academy we want every family to register with confidence. This policy covers refunds and cancellations for all our programs — workshops, camps, and shop purchases. We've written it to be fair and human. If your situation doesn't fit neatly into the rules below, just contact us — we'll always try to find a solution.

All cancellation requests must be submitted by calling or WhatsApp messaging us at 437 344 4140 or emailing contactus@tinkertrail.ca. The date and time of your message is used to determine which window applies.

🏢 If TinkerTrail Cancels

• Cancellations due to extreme weather or public health emergencies are handled case by case — we will always communicate promptly and fairly
• If a camp must be shortened mid-week due to circumstances beyond our control, we will issue a pro-rated credit for unused days
• We will never charge a cancellation fee when the cancellation is initiated by us

🔄 Transfers & Reschedules

We prefer to reschedule you rather than issue a refund — and we make it easy:

• Workshop-to-workshop transfers: Free at any time before the session starts, subject to availability in the new session
• Camp-to-camp transfers: Free at any time, subject to availability in the new camp week
• Transferring to another child: You may transfer your registration to another child (e.g. a sibling or friend) at no cost — contact us with the new child's details
• Credits: Any credit issued is valid for 12 months from the issue date and can be applied to any TinkerTrail program

To request a transfer, call or WhatsApp us at 437 344 4140 — we process transfers within 24 hours.

🛍️ Shop & Product Purchases

For physical products purchased through our WooCommerce shop:

• Unopened items: Full refund within 14 days of delivery — return shipping at the buyer's cost
• Opened or used items: No refund unless the item is defective or was sent in error
• Defective items: Full refund or replacement within 30 days — we cover return shipping
• Digital products: No refund once downloaded or accessed, unless the product is materially different from its description

To initiate a product return, contact us at contactus@tinkertrail.ca with your order number and reason for return.

📝 How to Request a Refund

Requesting a refund or cancellation is simple:

• Call or WhatsApp us at 437 344 4140 — this is the fastest option and we can confirm immediately
• Or email us at contactus@tinkertrail.ca with your name, the program name, and the date
• Please include the name of the child registered and the session date so we can locate your booking quickly

Once your cancellation is confirmed:

• Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank
• Credits are applied to your account immediately and confirmed by message
• You'll receive a confirmation message or email from us when the refund or credit has been processed
